Comprehensive and Secure ICT System.
Overview
Belgard Solicitors act for a number of large Financial Service Organisations. Based in Dublin, Belgard currently has more than 60 employees, offering legal solutions to clients including banks, mortgage providers, credit management groups and Credit Unions.
Challenge
Traditionally Belgard Solicitors were totally dependent on their Financial Service Partner to provide all of their internal IT services and to support their IT functions. The Partner provided Belgard Solicitor’s IT infrastructure, managed their IT security & communications, Line of Business Applications, client devices, backups & DR and provided secure remote access solutions for all home users. They also hosted Belgard Solicitor’s Telephone System. The Belgard Solicitor’s management team were keen to break away from this dependency and to implement their own IT and telephone system. They wanted the ability to function independently of their Partner, whilst still delivering it’s legal service needs. HCS were tasked with completing this changeover and with their whole team working from home due to the pandemic, it was important that the company experienced as little downtime as possible.
Solution
HCS designed and implemented a new comprehensive ICT system for Belgard Solicitors. This included a 2-Node Vmware cluster to host their critical applications, a redundant Fortinet firewall solution, new Fortinet switch infrastructure, Fortinet WiFi, Fortinet client & network security, local & cloud backups and a hosted telephony solution. We installed Fortinet Security Fabric to monitor and manage the complete IT network through a single management portal
Belgard Solicitor’s email is now secured via Fortimail and Fortinet EDR secures the company’s client devices. We installed the solution on time, on budget, and with minimum downtime. Their entire ICT system is now 100% independent of their Financial Service Partner.
We needed a complete IT solution including phone, security, infrastructure and more. We trusted HCS to deliver and we were not disappointed. We now have our own independent IT environment that is flexible, secure and easily managed.
