Mobotix makes life easier in Laois

In a climate where more and more emphasis is placed on security and data gathering, massive advancements have been made in security camera systems.  In fact, CCTV or “closed circuit television” is now old technology and cameras all over the world are rapidly being replaced with “Hi-Res” megapixel cameras. 

The advantages of Mobotix HiRes camera technology are manifold;
• Cameras record 30 times more detail than CCTV cameras. Often fewer cameras are needed to cover the same area.
• Cameras record the full image all of the time. So even if the camera is zoomed in on a particular area of interest, the entire view is still being recorded.

One such local authority which was immediately able to experience the benefits of the Mobotix system was Laois County Council.

According to Brendan Garry of Laois Water Treatment Plant there was a need to improve his current security system.  “It was crucial that we were able to monitor new areas in the facility vulnerable to trespassers and theft.  We wanted the capability to read number plates of vehicles entering the facility, the ability to monitor the cameras remotely and also I wanted to be alerted to any unauthorised activity outside of business hours.”
