HCS Business Solutions keenly anticipated Zultys Unified Communications event took place in the grandeur of the newly refurbished Morrison Hotel on February 21st. Indeed only the night before the hotel had its official opening and this was attended by billionaire Russian business woman Elena Baturina. As a further side note HCS Business Solutions recently won the Morrison Hotel IT Support contract and played a key role in delivering IT services to the Morrison during the refurbishment and in readiness for the hotels reopening deadline.
The events main speaker was Vincent Salva, founder of Message Labs and serial entrepreneur, and the main UK distributor of Zultys through his company I-Vocom. Vincent’s enthusiastic presentation started with an explanation of SIP open standards and how Zultys was built from the ground up using SIP open standards which has a number of advantages over proprietary PBX technologies. Namely SIP has been embraced as a worldwide standard, it’s a royalty free open standard, SIP interconnects with other providers and SIP facilitates choice where proprietary protocols limit it. SIP will work with any device from handsets, conference phones, IP cameras, door controllers, loud speakers, to klaxons.
Vincent went on to explain how Zultys increases productivity through unified communications (UC) using the;
• UC client (MXIE) which provides voice, video, presence, chat, call handling and a more efficient desktop interface.
• Real-time UC mobility for Blackberry, Android and iphone.
• MXConference, Internal audio bridge solutions eliminate costly hosted services and cut travel expenses MXconnect lets companies seamlessly
• connect ANY phone, anywhere into the Zultys system
• Complete Zultys contact center solution improves agent efficiency and responsiveness and advanced reporting.
John White, Technical Manager HCS Business Solutions, performed a live demonstration of Zultys’s ease of administration by creating profiles and setting up an configuring a new phone and user in 5 minutes.
In summary the key competitive differentiators are that Zultys has native SIP open standard, it is enterprise class, has extremely competitive pricing, its simple and its an all in one box.
